[introduction]
Dakini Dance is an artistic community established in 2013, dedicated to introducing dance as a vital art form with a potential for healing, unity, and transformation.
Informed by cross-cultural exchanges, Dakini Dance embraces a rich tapestry of traditions, drawing from dance, theater, and martial arts. Our approach is grounded in improvisation and experimentation, with embodied movement at the heart of our creative process. We believe in the communal nature of dance as both a learning experience and an act of creation.
Inspired by Tibetan Buddhism, the concept of ḍākinī embodies enlightened wisdom and divine feminine energy. Intimately associated with dance, it reminds us that dance transcends the physical—acting as a sacred medium that bridges tangible and intangible worlds, and connecting us to deeper realms of knowledge.
